About this deal

Any similarities to other television soap operas produced by Granada for the ITV network were purely deliberate. Many old videos YT blocked have received no such trouble when uploaded there, so it’s good to have it as an alternative. I’ve been uploading videos to Vimeo for quite a while now and I’ve never had any problems with them, to be honest. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything on YT – can’t even comment on or like anyone else’s video or subscribe to them, can’t even see comments at all on videos now; and all the comments I myself made on other people’s videos will have vanished like they were never there. A paranoid Elsie is convinced Alan is obsessed with Maggie’s breasts, though he denies it as much as Maggie.

Lucille’s paranoia that Alan and Elsie are considering ending the threesome is compounded by Uncle Len’s lecherous optimism as to whose bed she’ll jump into next; luckily, she has ‘an insurance policy’ courtesy of a clandestine polaroid. Ken and Janet don’t attend as Janet is expecting her birthday to take priority; Ken marks it with petrol station flowers, supermarket plonk and a slap; but at least Albert ends the day on a high as Minnie tells him he can watch her wee. But why is YT allowing Sunday Lunch, for example, to continue against terminating the great VL38 account? I haven`t laughed this hard since I think it was you who posted the alternate song to 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' last year.

Alan and Elsie are absent, with a pissed-up Alan coming close to setting the house on fire earlier; Albert Tatlock is also absent, busily planning his new career as a gigolo. Regretfully I had to in the manner of kinky vicar exposing news of the world hacks of old 'make my excuses and leave' and press the 'do not recommend this channel' bit. Stan forks out 6p on a card for Hilda, Ray promises to lavish Angel Delight and Blue Nun on Deirdre, Jerry places a suggestive ad in the classifieds section of the local paper, Ken organises a junior disco at the community centre, and Alan persuades Lucille to indulge in a threesome with him and Elsie. Every resident of the street had a penchant for at least one ‘sexual perversion’ - flagellation, fisting, Satanic abuse, schoolgirls, golden showers, chocolate sandwiches, buggery, open air solo symphonies, transvestism, indecent exposure, pegging, prostitution - you name it, the residents of Buggernation Street had a crack at it.

Meanwhile, Ken fails to impress his missus yet again and Bet struggles to cope at the Rovers when Billy is back at the bookies. After years of rumours that individual cast members had preserved copies of ‘missing episodes’, these eventually started to resurface too. BUGGERNATION STREET is permanently trapped in a perpetual Northern England of the mid-1970s, somewhere between 1973-76. Ever since my channel began attracting viewing figures that elevated it above the best-kept-secret cult it had been for a decade, it was undeniably brought to the attention of the Identity Politics Gestapo that run all media today. When a blotto Albert and Stan are discovered the following morning, Annie bans them both but lets the humiliated Hilda off the hook. This account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy on nudity or sexual content. Something of a minor miracle it’s survived, but the first pilot serves as a handy introduction to the characters and their respective perversions. The Rovers’ band play together for the first time - Billy and Ken on horns, Alan on guitar and Ernie on piano; they have a crack at ‘Theme One’, though Ena Sharples isn’t impressed. something like the same furrow ploughed by Quentin Smirhes and Scarfolk but less eery-horror and more wry cynicism sort of thing.
