About this deal

Consider using a heater device in conjunction with a timer if needed, temperatures are often lower on a night so it may be sufficient to have the heater set to apply heat at night only if the brew is getting too warm with it on constantly, or perhaps 2 hours on, 2 hours off etc. The Brew Belt can be used to aid fermentation with one or two demijohns or any make of 5 Gallon/25 Litre vessel and is suitable for both beer and wine making. Space-Saving: The heat belt heater is a small, compact device that takes up very little space, making it ideal for small brewing setups. These items are usually delivered within 24 hours, but this can vary (anywhere up to 10 working days), and is unfortunately beyond our control.

TopBrewing™ Heat Belt

Limitations - If the room temperature is in excess of 20 degrees C (during the day for example) the heater should be switched off. Brews can be harmed by getting too hot as well as too cold, so be sure to check on them, especially if the air temperature is regularly changing. Any heating device has its limitations, if brewing in a very cold place such as in a shed or garage, often home brew heating devices will not be able to keep the liquid warm enough. Fermentation will slow down and the time taken to ferment will increase in cooler temperatures, and if it is too cold, it will stop altogether. The brew belt on the other hand has one side always exposed to the air and only heats at the level of which it is placed on the fermenter.Better Brew heating pad- This heater pad is permanently on and gives off a constant warm gentle heat so it is important that regular checks should always be made to ensure that the correct temperature is being maintained. First, we were hard-pressed to find a heating belt with its own temperature controller, so if you want the most control possible, you’ll need to invest in a temperature controller.

Better Brew™ Heat Belt

While we feel a little nervous about using this belt style around a glass carboy, this one did well on a standard 5-gallon glass carboy. Heater trays can also be used to stand a barrel or bottles on to keep the temperature up for the first few days of secondary fermentation, a 25 litre tray holds around 20 x 500ml PET plastic bottles at once. If it needs to be warmer lower the belt, if it is getting too warm, slide it up the outside of the vessel.

Improve the quality of your beer and wine whilst reducing fermentation time with this electric heat belt. The heat belt heater will then provide a constant source of heat to maintain the desired temperature. The heat pad gives an even distribution of warmth due to heat rising through the brew, and is more efficient because almost the entire heating surface area is in contact with the fermenter.
