After crashing his car in a lonely country lane, former pop star Danny (Tom Chambers) finds himself—and his extended family—spending New Year’s Eve in an isolated holiday cottage deep in the English countryside. However, alongside the acting and the plot, it’s the wonderful stage sets and the way that each melds into the next one that it also so impressive. Two familiar figures from the world of horror will put in appearances at the Haunted Season, albeit maybe not in the expected manner.In revenge, he decides to concoct an ingenious plot to trap Arthur involving his own wife and Arthur’s partner who, it appears, have been having an affair. This thrilling West End production is THE genre-defining murder mystery from the best-selling novelist of all time… case closed! Despite a track record of stage hits they are struggling to come up with new original ideas for their plays.

All About Murder features two playwrights, Nigel and Max, who are broke and struggling for inspiration for their next play. It was evident on the first night of All About Murder that a few lines did not come out quite as the actors intended. Karen Henson of Tabs Productions, co-producers of the season, said, “we can't wait to be back at the Theatre Royal again.The language used was quite confusing: being set in the 1930s a lot of old slang is used, however this is mixed in with formal language which made me confused about the social contexts of the scenes. He last performed at Bath’s Theatre Royal in The Winslow Boy in 2018 and in Whipping it Up and Bedroom Farce in 2007. From November 2 to 6, York Opera will present The Magic Flute , Mozart’s magical and last great opera, sung in English with an orchestra.

Set in the 1930's, Murder at the Theatre Royale is great for those crime lovers who like their mysteries light with a touch of humour and set around the 20's/30's. In 1930’s England newspaper agony aunt, Daphne King, is delighted to have the chance to work as a reporter for “the culture desk”, rather than sticking to her standard column, and interview a couple of famous actors who are staging a comeback and are in London to perform in “A Christmas Carol”. He also starred in Original Theatre’s lockdown film of Torben Betts’s Apollo 13: The Dark Side of the Moon .The case of James Hadfield put legislation on high treason and the custody of insane people into the spotlight. The production has at its heart the power of nomadic storytelling and gathering round the campfire for a good ghost story. This wonderful actor perfectly inhabited every mannerism and idiosyncrasy of the OCD detective with such subtle skill that it was a real joy to watch.
