About this deal

The backpack also has the opening Funnel rack gimmick, along with 6 actual articulated funnels that can be removed from the rack and opened up in the “deployed” configuration. Regarding the coating, the exterior is divided into two colors, red, while joints, internal parts, and weapons are partially metallic. I mentioned earlier that I snapped the RG Sazabi relatively longer than I expected, and as I said, this was mainly due to my having to pause and just straight up admire each stage of the assembly process. Its distinctive colours are carefully reproduced, including three shades of light gray to increase the visual depth. One element of the backpack I really didn't care for were the fuel tanks becausethey have a seam running down the center.

A must-have for anyone who wants to accelerate human evolution through space migration by dropping your evil ex-girlfriend's old asteroid base onto Earth and subsequently causing a nuclear winter ? Some of our partners may process your data as a part of their legitimate business interest without asking for consent. The thing is just incredibly sturdy – I can’t think of a single other Gundam that’s this solid, especially not one that has to hold so much in place. Really want to go back and dress up some of the kits I’ve already built, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to bring myself to do it. The shield easily interferes with the back funnel container and the propellant tank, so be careful of paint baldness due to rubbing. The left and right round molds on top of that are embedded with Evolve Works negative mold metal parts. Nothing but a small amount of friction holds those fins around the bell-end while you’re trying to get the rest of the unit lined up and assembled. I may, or may not have (but definitely did) tear the largest and most prominently displayed decal by being a bit to rough with a Q-tip trying to rub away the water. In the latest installment of a new Bit here, we’re reviewing Bandai’s gunpla, a model kit of a robot from the Gundam universe.

Handling the arms with the metal parts installed it’s clear that this is going to be a very heavy finished product. Before I started I had a good handle on what was required to successfully install these, however what I didn’t fully understand was how easy it is to tear them. First introduced as the on-again-off-again antagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam , Char is known for always having his own ulterior motives, and constantly, just constantly betraying his allies. Also I decided to keep the V-fin antennas off until I’m done with decals, because the aftermarket metal ones don’t fit snugly and I’m afraid I’m going to lose them before I finish this build, so Sazabi will be pictured bald for the time being.I’m personally not a Real Grade builder and prefer HGs and MGs, but this particular kit really amazed me with how it was painstakingly designed. No different than the difficulties you’d expect with their plastic counterparts, but obviously since there’s no give in the metal whatsoever it just takes a bit of finesse to get it right. Articulation is good, with the main issue being those huge bell-bottom legs really limiting the bend at the knee and ankle. The accessories here are good, with the caveat that the beam rifle from the Master Grade is absent (that gun never appeared in the movie, which is likely why).

The upper thigh joints can swing frontwards/backwards on a peg, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each piece. I’d like to have a left-handed trigger finger, but that is just not something you get, ever, so it is what it is. An extremely good (near-perfect, in all honesty) model kit rightly recognized as a masterpiece by the Gunpla community. We’ll be looking at the Quattro era in more detail when we look at the HG Hyaku Shiki, but suffice to say, my man had incredible drip, and absolutely no clue at all how to lay low and avoid notice. Ka, but since I received the metal frame kit I’m just too excited to do another kit before starting this. The RG Sazabi comes with its standard Shield, a Beam Rifle, a pair of Beam Sabres, a Beam Axe that can be mounted on the shield or held in the hand, several pairs of interchangeable hands, and a variety of beam effects for both the axe and sabres. Opening the box you will find 12 runners for the whole kit which includes armor, inner frame and weapons along with a sticker sheet. Luckily thanks to Google translate live view, it’s fairly straightforward to figure out which bits go where. Aside from that, some of the plastic pieces are an extremely tight fit into the holes on the metal parts, but while that’s frustrating going together it will be for the best in the long run.
